Heather Garland – North Carolina Wedding and Portrait Photographer (Charlotte, Greenville, Belmont, Gastonia, Eastern NC) bio picture

Welcome to my life.

I am Heather Garland, I am funky, fun, unique. I love Sweet Tea and playing guitar. My favorite color is teal, and I love to travel. I love meeting new friends and walking on the beach at night. This is me, this is my life.

Wedding Photographs, New Fish, Thanksgiving Dinners, Family, and Favorite Vacations. What do these have in common? They all can be seen on this blog. Sure, you can see all of my photography on my website, read my bio section, and even see a photo of me on my website, however, it doesn't show you the real me! Here on the blog you can see just what is going on in my life. You might have to listen to some crazy, weird things I am excited about or you might be looking at my brand new engagement session. Whatever it is, you can be sure you get to know the real Heather Garland on this blog.

Please enjoy my blog. I post a Get-To-Know-Me Thursday every week to get to know me better. I post new photographs after every session. I always post (and get really excited) about new equipment and other things I receive. And sometimes, I post just to post something. Also, check out my pages in the top menu, and if you want to know what I am doing RIGHT now check my twitter feed at the very bottom of the page. Enjoy your stay and DON'T forget to leave me a comment. Love, Heather

Off Topic – New Jewelry Store

This is very exciting news for me! I have decided to open an etsy shop to sell my handmade jewelry. I have always had a love of making jewelry but I usually just made it for me, for presents, or for my family. I have decided to let the rest of the world enjoy it as well too. You can visit the store here: http://adieuamour.etsy.com/. I got the inspiration to list it on etsy when one of my brides started making jewelry. (She makes green jewelry and I absolutely love her stuff. Go visit her blog as well: http://jbmade.blogspot.com/.) My jewelry is much different from hers however, my necklaces & earrings are from beads I have bought while on trips or while out. Also, whenever one of my necklaces, bracelets, or anything breaks and I can’t fix it, I just put the beads in my bead box and make a completely different piece of jewelry out of it.

I am kind of just testing this out with 5 pieces of jewelry, but I really hope it goes well! I plan on making custom pieces upon request and adding a lot more variety as soon as there is some interesting in the store (http://adieuamour.etsy.com/). So go check it out, leave me some comments, and check out the pictures below of my 5 new pieces.

Sneak Peak – Mini-Sessions

I was just making up my blogging schedule to make time to blog everything today, and I realized I have so much to blog I am going to have blog LOTS of extra days! I have tons of stuff planned all the way until the month of August, so look for extra blog posts GALORE!

Today I wanted to show off a sneak peak of my mini-sessions I had on Saturday. They were so much fun, but I did really miss getting to spend 3 hours with each of my clients. I love getting to walk around and laugh and take my time taking pictures! It was a blast though and I really enjoyed getting to do them. I will be doing a full blog post for each of them very soon, as soon as I get done editing!
