What to Wear
It is nice to bring a few changes of clothes for your photo sessions to add some spice to the photo and variety. I suggest at least two outfits, one casual and one dressy. Things you are comfortable in is best, your favorite clothes, or the outfit you would wear every day if you could. You could always buy new clothes for a session but when you are comfortable in your clothes already it makes the photosession much easier.
Engagements: Jeans and tops that compliment each other are great. Also cute dresses for the girl and jeans with dress shirts for the guy are also very nice looking. Bring both, if you can’t decide. A good tip is if you wear heels it to bring shoes to walk around in too, because we will do a good bit of walking. Bright colors and fun clothes always are best!
Children: Bright colored and funky clothing works best. And bare feet are really fun! Fun dress up clothes are fun too, its always fun to have a fairy or a cowboy, and tutus are the cutest for little girls.
Newborn: A cute outfit can be nice but the nicest clothes for a newborn session is just a diaper or their birthday suit. We will wrap them in blankets most of the time. So if you have a special blanket, please bring it along!
Maternity: Bring whatever you feel most comfortable in, if you want to show off your belly, bring a shirt you can easily button the top. If you want to wear some cute maternity clothes, that is great!
Seniors: Bring something you love to be in, and that SCREAMS you. These are pictures you are going to keep to remember you and your style. If you wear dresses every day bring that, but if you wear jeans and tennis shoes every day bring that too. Bright, funky clothes are always best. Also feel free to bring lots of different outfits!
Day After: Groom can choose not to wear tuxedo if he wants to have more fun. I suggest wearing something comfortable and fun like khakis and a white button-up shirt. Of course, the bride should remember her wedding dress!
What Not to Wear: Anything you don’t feel comfortable in, you will seem uncomfortable in the photos. Don’t wear matching outfits. Blend your outfits and make sure you compliment each other. Also avoid black and white shirts because you tend to blend into the backgrounds.
What to Expect
I like to communicate with clients before a session or a wedding. I like clients to tell me what they like, what they are comfortable with, and what their style is. At the session, I will take a few “warm-up” pictures where I might say smile or do the typical photographer stuff but after that I will expect you to run, jump, twirl, or spin. I am not your traditional photographer. I like the shots that show your personality and not the typical headshot that just resembles you. I want every part of you to show through in your photos and we will have fun to make sure we capture this. I will make you as comfortable as possible to ensure you have fun and those natural smiles show through.
What to bring to portrait sessions
Bring toys for the kids that they love, this will make them feel comfortable and give a natural photo. If you have a hobby, playing guitar, photography, painting, bring your props they really add to the photo giving it a sense of YOU.
Please note that all our photosession fees cover only the time and talent in taking, proofing, and editing your images. They do not include printing, or extensive editing. You will however be given any image watermarked that you would like to show online (simply email to request)! They will however be watermarked and are not to be printed, if you want printing rights you may buy a CD of the digital negatives for $200/whole session. I also include an online slideshow with all your favorite photos to email to all your friends and family!

If you would like to see your proofing gallery again after this time, please feel free to contact me and I will be glad to put this back up for you for $15/per month.
