I wanted to take some time and explain to you guys who are being redirected to my blog now from my under construction sign one my main website. I know you guys are probably asking, WHAT IN THE WORLD IS HAPPENING? I don’t blame you! That is why I wanted to take some time to explain.

Why am I changing the website?
1. I keep being told that my prices are hard to find on my website, and I am scared that this is confusing my clients and some might be leaving the site because it was unclear. I really hate to have my clients confused, I want everything to be as clear and easy to read and understand on my site. I know planning a wedding is really hectic and sometimes you are in a hurry, so I want to help you and make my website easy to navigate and contact me.
2. Another reason I am changing is because I realized that portraits and weddings are two different worlds. The clients wanting me for a wedding do not want to and do not have time to sort through all my portrait work and information, and vice versa. So I wanted to split these up, so I could provide more information and more photographs on each site, specifically focused on either weddings or portraits.
3. I was simply running out of room on this website, so I thought it was time to split it up. I also wanted to make my portrait website kind of fun and playful. I wanted to make my wedding website on the other hand to be more elegant.

What exactly is changing?
On my index page there will now be three boxes you can click on, one that will take you to the portrait site, one that will take you to the wedding site, and one that will take you here, to the blog. I am keeping the portrait site pretty much the same as the old site, simply all the wedding information will be take out and new portrait information will be put in. The wedding site on the other hand will be COMPLETELY new. I am splitting the galleries for the weddings into getting ready, ceremony, portraits/formals, reception, and details along with galleries for engagements and bridals. I think this will be able to give the clients a broader look at exactly how a whole wedding looks when I photograph it and also give them more ideas on what they want their photos to look like. I also added a lot more information that was only on the blog directly to the website. A lot of clients never saw the information on here and it was important information such as albums or printing prices. I thought it would be good to add this directly to the site.

When will it be ready?
I am not completely sure on that quite yet, I had hoped to have the site ready to edit last weekend, however things go in the wedding. I am working hard on it though and it should be all ready to go in less than a week.
